This place is shady. If you want to worship on a very sunny time of a day you can visit only this place. Stalls to buy flowers and other stuff to offer are around. So it’s easy. You can park vehicles in front of the temple along the roadside. There are lot of beggars. If you bring few rice packets it can be easily distributed.

Amazing Experience
This site, between the Kotte Rajamaha Vihara and Ananda Sasthralaya School (home to an entrance to an ancient tunnel and our next stop), features a twin tree: a Na tree (Mesua ferrea) and a Bo tree (Ficus religiosa). The Bo tree is sacred to Gothama Buddhists as the tree under which the Buddha attained enlightenment, while the Na tree is held in significance because the first visit of Buddha was to grove of NA Trees at Miyanganaya. It is also believed that the next Buddha (Mithriya) will attain enlightenment under a NA tree. The site may also be an air outlet of a tunnel. As Kotte was a fortress, tunnels played an important role.
